GSEB HSC Exam 2021 Date Announced: After much delay, the Gujarat Government has announced the GSEB HSC Exam 2021 Dates for both General as well as Science stream students. The decision to hold the Gujarat Board 12th Exam 2021 for HSC students was taken at a high-level meeting convened by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. According to official announcement, Gujarat Board 12th Exam 2021 will be held from 1st July 2021 amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines and precautions. A detailed exam schedule will be announced in the next few days, an official from Gujarat Board Said.
HSC Exam to be held for 6.83 Lakh Students
The decision to hold Gujarat Class 12 Board Exam 2021 for both science and general stream students has put hearts of nearly 6.8 lakh students who are registered and due to appear for the exam. Justifying state government’s decision Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that holding the GSEB HSC Exam 2021 was in the larger interest of the students’ future. Of the total 6.8 lakh students, 1.40 lakh students are from the HSC science stream while 5.43 lakh pupils are from the general stream (Arts and Commerce). For all these students, the HSC Board Exam would be held from 1st July 2021 onwards.
Re-Exam after 25 Days
For students who miss out on appearing for the HSC Exams 2021 being held from 1st July, another or re-exam would be held after 25 days to give chance to such students. A decision regarding repeaters – students who had failed in earlier attempts – will be taken after assessing the situation once COVID-19 cases drop,
COVID-19 Guidelines, Precautions to be Implemented
With the Gujarat HSC Exam 2021 being held amid COVID-19 pandemic, the state government has also put in place the necessary guidelines and precautions to ensure complete safety of the students during the exam period. To maintain social distancing in view of the coronavirus outbreak, only 20 students will be accommodated in one exam hall, said Mr Chudasama, adding all SOPs related to the pandemic will be strictly followed during the test. He also added that as only 20 students are to be seated in an exam hall, the number of exam halls for Gujarat Board 12th Exam 2021 will also be increased significantly. The board has also been asked to allot exam centres nearer to the residence of the students to avoid travel, the minister said.
