Gujarat Class 10 Board Exams 2021: Earlier, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) postponed Gujarat class 10th board exams due to a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases. However, due to the rapid surge in cases daily, students across the state are seeking cancellation of the exam. The Gujarat class 10th board exam was scheduled to be conducted from 5th to 18th May 2021. Later, the CMO Gujarat announced that the Gujarat class 10 2021 and class 12 board exams have been postponed. The new dates are to be announced on 15th May 2021.
The Official Announcement
The announcement read, “In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gujarat state government decides to postpone class 10th and 12th board exams, scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25, 2021, and mass promotion for students of class 1 to 9 and 11. The new revised dates will be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15”.
With the prevailing situation, students and peers of the GSEB board have also demanded to cancel Gujarat class 10 Board Exams 2021. The main idea behind this protest is to urge the GSEB board to take a fair and equal decision. The authorities need to look upon alternate ways of evaluating the students of Gujarat class 10th Board exams 2021. Earlier, CBSE, CISCE and several other state boards have cancelled their class 10th board exams. The boards have decided to release results based on internal assessment.
