GUJCET 2017: Main Exam Date Rescheduled, To Be Conducted On 10 May

New Delhi:  Gujarat Common Engineering Test (GUJCET) 2017 which was earlier scheduled for May 11 has been pre-poned to May 10, 2017. The exam will be conducted for admission to various engineering colleges of the western state. Find out other details of the exam below.

Admit cards of GUJCET 2017 can be downloaded from May, 2017 (tentative). The exam will take place on May 10, 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm and the results will be announced in the last week of May 2017 (tentative).

After the announcement, students will be able to check GUJCET Result online on the official website, GSEB.org.

About GUJCET

GUJCET is a three-hour-long exam comprising a total of 120 questions. It will be conducted in offline mode. The exam will be held in three languages i.e. Gujarati, Hindi and English. The paper will comprise three subjects, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. 40 questions will be asked from every subject.

The registration process for GUJCET 2017 was closed on April 16, 2017. Eligible candidates who have successfully completed the registration and have paid the application fees will be able to download the admit cards in the month of May 2017. Results for the exam will also be announced at the end of May 2017, which again is tentative.

GUJCET has been reintroduced from the session 2017-18. 112 engineering colleges will be accepting GUJCET 2017 scores for admission to the various programmes offered by them.

From the coming sessions, all the engineering colleges of the state will participate in GUJCET selection process.

Immediately following the official announcement of GUJCET Result 2017 from the Gandhinagar office of GSHSEB, the result would be made available online on the official website of the board. Aspirants will be able to check the outcome of their hard work in the form of GUJCET 2017 Result online on gseb.org. How to check GUJCET 2017 Result online?

• Choose Seat No from the drop down menu

• Enter your 6 digit GUJCET Seat Number allotted in the hall ticket

• Click on the submit button

• If your GUJCET Seat No is found to be valid, your GUJCET Scorecard would be displayed

GUJCET 2017 Merit List

The merit list of GUJCET 2017 result will be based on 60 percent of the marks scored in higher secondary certificate examination (Class 12) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology and 40 percent will be based on the total marks obtained in the GUJCET examination. On the basis of this GUJCET merit list, students will be called in for the centralized counselling session on dates published by the board in leading newspapers. The GSHSEB is not going to send the GUJCET result scorecard, merit card or the counselling call letter to students and therefore, maintaining a digital or printed copy of GUJCET Result 2017 is very important for the students.
