hryana board results to be delayed

The Haryana Board of Secondary Education has extended the dates for the Haryana Board schools to upload the internal assessment marks for the secondary and the senior secondary students. The board, in a press release issued on the official website of the board, states that many of the schools have failed to update the internal assessment marks of the students in the online portal despite the extension provided in the deadline.

The board has hence decided to give a second chance to the pending schools to complete updating the internal assessment marks on the portal. The schools which are yet to upload the internal assessment marks are advised to do the same between May 4 and May 11, 2020, on the online portal.

To check the official press note, schools are advised to visit the official website of Haryana Board - bseh.org.in or through the direct link provided below.

Haryana Board Official notification

The Haryana Board had earlier provided a time window for schools to upload the internal assessment marks and the General Awareness & Life Skill Grade (GLS) from April 18 to 25, 2020.

The board, in its official press note, has also asked all the District Education officers to inform all the schools in the region to upload the marks. Along with that the board has also released the list of schools that are yet to submit the marks online. The direct link to check the list of schools pending to upload the marks is also provided below.

The board in its notification also added that in case the schools do not upload the internal assessment marks, the board will not be able to announce the results of class 10 and 12 students for which the head of the school will be held responsible.

The schools which have not submitted the internal assessment marks will also be required to pay a late fee separately for the internal assessment marks and the practical examination marks. Reportedly, the schools will have to pay a late fee of Rs. 500 per student and the maximum fee to be paid is Rs. 5000 in order for the board to release the passing certificate for the students.

Haryana Board Answer Sheet Evaluation

The Haryana Board had earlier asked the teachers to evaluate the answer sheets of class 10 and 12 students from home itself due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Haryana Board had distributed the answer copies among the teachers on April 11, 2020, and the teachers were asked to submit the evaluated answer sheets and the marks of class 10 and 12 students by April 22, 2020.

Submitting the internal assessment marks for the class 10 and 12 students is important since the class 10 science examination was cancelled by the Haryana Government due to the lockdown. The government has also announced that the result for the science examinations will be announced as per the marks secured by the students in the internal assessment and other tests that have been conducted already.
