Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) announced the HP Board 12th Result 2017 today. The HPBOSE 12th Result was announced today from the Dharamshala office in a press meet by HPBOSE Chairman Sh. Balbir Tegta. The HPBOSE Result is now live on the official website and students can check their results online at hpbose.org. As per the official press release, the overall pass percentage for HP Board 12th Result is 72.89 precent, which is marginally lower compared to the 2016’s statistic of 78.93%. The HPBOSE also announced that the Ritik Kandoria from Kangra District secured the top rank in the HPBOSE 12th Result with 98.40%.
The formal declaration ceremony for HP Board 12th Result was held at the board office. Senior Board officials including HPBOSE Chairman Sh. Balbir Tegta and Board secretary Dr. Vishal Sharma graced the unveiling function of HPBOSE Result 2017. The HPBOSE Result is now available online on hpbose.org and other websites such as hp12.jagranjosh.com.
This year, the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) conducted the annual +2 Exams for nearly 1 lakh students in the month of March. The exams began on 3rd March and concluded on 28th March. In between a few papers were also rescheduled due to reports of paper leak and theft. But, despite all the challenges, HPBOSE has managed to complete the evaluation task for answer sheets on time and declared the HPBOSE 12th Result 2017 today.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) was established under the Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968 as a state level school education board. The HP Board started its operation in 1969 with its headquarters at Shimla, but it was later on shifted to state capital Dharamshala in January 1983. HP Board holds the primary responsibility of developing the school education in the state while also enhancing the quality of education in Himachal Pradesh. As of today, there are over 8000 schools are affiliated to the HPBOSE. As part of its responsibilities, the Board conducts annual examination for Class 10 and 12, J.B.T and T.T.C.
