ICAI CA Exam 2019: The state of Gujarat has been under the scanner of the cyclone Wayu. The cyclone is likely to hit the state and there will be furious wind blowing on during the period. The state government has made all the preparations amid the threat of the cyclone. The schools and colleges have been ordered to be kept close as a token of precaution. The state is also to hold some competitive exams and the dates of such examas maybe changed. Amid the reports of the cyclone, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has postponed some papers of the CA exam. The papers that have been postponed were scheduled to be held on June 13 i.e. today.
The candidates who were to appear for the exam need to check if their exams have been postponed or not. The places where the exam has been postponed are Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Rajkot stand. As per the official notice, the exams have been postponed on account of the cyclone Wayu. The candidates will be informed about the dates of the exam later on. The ICAI has released the admit cards for the exams and the exams have already been scheduled but the cyclone has made all the preparations of the candidates go in vain. The papers that have been postponed are:
- Group II Paper 5- Advanced Management Accounting of Final (Old Syllabus)
- Group II Paper 5- Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation of Final (New Syllabus)
- Paper 3 Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics of Foundation exam.
In a statement released by the ICAI, it said, “Revised date of the exam in respect of above-mentioned papers at these cities will be announced in due course. Candidates are advised to take note of the above and act accordingly. In other words, there is no change in the schedule of examination at other cities. Candidates are advised to stay in touch with the website of the Institute, www.icai.org for the revised date.”
