IIT Kharagpur mentors to hold live interactive session with school students under Young Innovators Program (YIP)

IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Program (YIP) 2019: Mentors from IIT Kharagpur – premier engineering institute of the country, will hold live interactive sessions with school students, as per official press release. The initiative launched under the institute’s Young Innovators Program (YIP) will undergraduate students from the institute organize live interactive sessions for school students of Class 8 to Class 10.

As part of the initiative, students and mentors from IIT Kharagpur will connect with students through Facebook Live sessions. During the session, they can ask questions, post their queries and get them answered in real—time. The Young Innovators Programme Live session will work in a webinar format and will address the Frequently Asked Questions related to preparation of concept note for the projects they are working on.

According to the media briefing, the live session will be held on 31st July 2019 at 3 PM via the Facebook Page of IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Programme. Participants in 2019 edition of YIP as well as school students interested in similar science and technology competitions are invited to post their queries and get them answered during the live session.

The registration process for Young Innovators Programme commenced for school students from India and abroad, earlier in the month. For 2019 edition, the institute has received applications from UAE and ASEAN countries as well as from schools across India. Last year,  the competition saw participation from over 2000 schools from across the globe.

About Young Innovators Programme

IIT Kharagpur’s Young Innovators Programme is a unique competition based on science and technology topics. The competition is held for school students in Classes 8 to Class 10. As part of the YIP, students have to solve real-life challenges through innovations and alternative approach. The 2019 edition of Young Innovators Programme is the third edition of the initiative.
