New Delhi: Keeping up its promise, CBSE has announced the JEE Main Result 2016 for engineering Exam just a few minutes back. The JEE Mains Result 2016 is now live and available on the official website of the board i.e., Candidates, who have appeared for JEE Main 2016 – the biggest engineering entrance exam in India, can now log on the above mentioned website to check their results.

The Joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as JEE Main, is an all-India level engineering entrance test, organized by CBSE. JEE Main Result 2016 is used to shortlist candidates for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.
The JEE Main 2016 exam was conducted in offline format (pen and paper based test) on April 3, followed by the online format test (computer based) on April 9.  As per the official data released by the board, this year 12 lac engineering aspirants had appeared for the JEE Main 2016 exam at different exam centres in 129 cities across the country.

Last year, on JEE Main result day, the official website and crashed due to excessive web traffic. The situation might be the same this year as well for the Joint Entrance Examination Result. Candidates are advised to not to panic and exercise caution while trying to access the official website of the board. Soon, the problems will be fixed and students will be able to check their results easily.

Taking into account these problems, CBSE has also simplified the checking procedure or JEE Main Result 2016. Engineering aspirants can follow the simple steps given below, to get their Joint Entrance Exam Result 2016. 

Step 1: Visit official website and
Step 2: Click on the link for JEE Main Result 2016
Step 3: Enter your application number / registration numbers and details correctly
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ button
Step 5: Your Result will now be displayed on the computer screen
Step 6: Download / take printout of the JEE Main Scorecard

Candidates must also keep in mind that CBSE will not be mailing or sharing the JEE Main Scorecard / JEE Main Rank card. Therefore, candidates are advised to download your JEE Main score/ rank cards from the JEE (Main) website only. The scorecard would clearly mention the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2016 exam. It would also specify if you have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) 2016.
