New Delhi: As many as 12 lakh engineering aspirants will get to know the outcome of their hard work today when CBSE announces the JEE Main (Joint Entrance Exam) Result 2016.

CBSE has kept up its promise of declaring the JEE Main Result 2016 Today on time this year for the engineering admission season across the country. The JEE Result will be live on official websites of the board i.e., www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.jeemain.nic.in.
How to check JEE Main 2016 Result?
Step 1: Visit any of the official websites: cbseresults .nic.in, cbse .nic.in or www.jeemain.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the link ‘JEE Main 2016 Results’
Step 3: Enter your application number, date of birth and other relevant details
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ Button
Step 5: Your JEE Main Result will be displayed on the computer screen now
Step 6: Take a printout or download a softcopy of JEE Main scorecard
Last week, Central Board of Secondary Education had announced the official JEE Main Answer key. The answer key is aimed at helping the candidates assess their performance and set realistic expectations with regards to JEE Main Result 2016. Many students were seen comparing their answers with the official answer key last week.
“Even after solving the JEE Main question paper over 10 times, I am not sure about the final JEE Main score that I might achieve. I have done it several times since last week to boost my confidence,” said Pavnesh Tiwari, an expectant student.
With stress building up with every passing minute, students have resorted to different ways to relax ahead of JEE Main 2016 Result. Prashant Negi, another engineering aspirant choose to invoke divine help by visiting the Hanuman temple on Tuesday morning. “I have not tried solving the JEE Main question paper or compared my answers with the official JEE Mains Answer Key that was uploaded on the CBSE website last week. I know it would only add to my stress and make me more anxious about JEE Main Result.”
Kartikey, an aspirant from Delhi also expressed similar thoughts about the stress prior to the declaration of JEE Mains 2016 Result. “In order to beat stress, I met my friends and tried to pass time. Although, I think I have done well but am not sure if I would make the cut for the JEE Advanced 2016 exam,” he said.
Many students, who were confident enough of their efforts in the JEE Main Exams have already started preparing for JEE Advanced 2016. JEE Advanced 2016 test is scheduled to be held on May 22. JEE Advanced is the next stage of the Joint Entrance Exam, which shortlists candidates for admission to the prestigious IITs across the country.
Maitree Baral from Dehradun decided to start preparing for the JEE Advanced 2016 test right after the completion of JEE Main Exams. She had to sacrifice a family vacation in order to do so. “I am confident of a high score in JEE Mains, but in such a competitive field no one can be completely sure,” said Maitree.
JEE (Main) exam conducted by the CBSE to shortlist candidates for undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical Institutions.
