New Delhi: The CBSE Board has announced JEE Main Results 2017 today afternoon at 1 PM. The JEE Main Result, which forms the primary basis for admission to top engineering colleges including the likes of IITs and NITs was announced today. Engineering aspirants can now check their JEE Main Result 2017 online on the official website i.e. cbseresults.nic.in.
The recently announced JEE Result is only for JEE Main Paper 1 which is for engineering students. JEE Main Paper 1 Result is only considered for admission to B.Tech and other engineering programmes. Along with the marks obtained by the students in JEE Main Exam, the JEE Main Scorecard would also mention if the candidate has managed to qualify for the JEE Advanced Exam.
The entrance exam is held for admissions to Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NIITs). Earlier, the answer keys and OMR response sheets for the 2017 exam was published on the JEE main website recently.
Steps to check JEE Main Result 2017 online

• Click on the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017- With Rank
• Enter your roll number and date of birth (in dd/mm/yyyy format)
• Cross verify all the details and submit them
• Your JEE Main Scorecard will be displayed on the screen
JEE Main Result would contain candidate’s score, JEE Main Rank Card and status of qualification for JEE Advanced Exam. The JEE Main Rank comprises of candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) and All India category rank.
This year, the HRD ministry and CBSE had notified two major changes in JEE Exam Pattern. From this year onwards, there shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the JEE Main Ranks. And to qualify for admission through JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, candidates will have to get at least 75% marks in the 12th class Board Exam.
