JEE MAIN 2018: The second phase of JEE Main Examination, Computer Based Test (CBT) – started today in the morning . The examination, which began today, will continue tomorrow as well. The online CBT will be held in three shifts. This year, the examination is being organized in 258 cities all across the country and abroad. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the examination.
CBSE will release the official answer keys of both online and offline exams on April 24. As soon as the board releases the answer keys, the same will be available on the official website of JEE Mains i.e. jeemain.nic.in. However, the candidates may refer unofficial answer keys released by educational institutes and coaching centres on their websites.
The first phase of the 6th edition of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 offline exam was held on April 8, 2018. According to the sources approximately approximately 10,43,739 Lakh candidates registered for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.
CBSE will conduct one more shift tomorrow, in the morning, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. JEE (Main) is an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IIT/ISM Dhanbad.
On April 11, after the completion of the JEE Main offline paper, CBSE issued a statement denying a report which suggested 7-8 questions out of the 90 questions of the paper were carried from a model paper of a coaching institution by the name of Narayana Academy.
