In order to help the students who are preparing for JEE Main 2019, the National Testing Agency (NTA) sets up as many as 3404 Test Practice Centres (TPC) across 662 districts in India last week. These centers will help the JEE Main aspirants to register and practice the Computer Based Test (CBT) free of cost. According to the NPA, these TPCs will have over 2.72 lakh computers for JEE Main students who do not have computers or smartphones. Besides JEE Main candidates, UGC NET aspirants too can use the facility.
In order to provide better facility to the students, a large number of schools and colleges have been roped in to set up TPCs. The schools engaged have more than 30 connected PCs/laptops at one location. According to reports, there are 689 TPCs in Kendriya Vidyalas (KVs) and 403 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs).
The TPCs function for one shift on Saturdays - from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm and for two shifts on Sundays - from 11 am to 2 pm; 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The candidates who will be attending the centers must note that although these TRC’s are free of charge but they need to register themselves. The students can register for TPCs through the NTA website or the 'NTA Student App' available on Play Store. JEE Main 2019 mock tests too are available online for students to practice anywhere.
The application form for JEE Main 2019 and the registration process for UGC NET 2019 commenced on September 1 and will continue till September 30. JEE Main 2019 is scheduled to be held from January 6 to January 20, 2019 for the first phase while the exam in April will be conducted from April 6 to April 20.
