The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, which is conducted for the engineering aspirants, has begun their online registration for all the interested candidates.
The notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main has been released on their official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in, which states that the online registration for the examination has now begun.
The JEE Main 2018 notification invites all the interested candidates to register for their examination that is scheduled to be held on 8th April 2018, as per the recent notice.
JEE Main that is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), will have their registrations open until 1st January 2018.
It is aforementioned to keep your valid Aadhar Card handy before going to the JEE Mains official registration page.
Here are some steps to follow while applying for the JEE Main 2018:
Step 1: Go to the official Website @ jeemain.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply for JEE (Main) 2018’ tab
Step 3: Authenticate your identity through Aadhar Card
Step 4: Fill up the application form
Step 5: Verify your email id and mobile number
Step 6: Upload your required documents
Step 7: Make payment for the JEE Main 2018 exam, either through online or offline mode
Step 8: Download the acknowledgment page
Step 9: Keep your login credentials safe for further use
But, the CBSE has stated that 'the applicants who have passed or appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only,'
About JEE Main Exam
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the national level competitive test to shortlist engineering aspirants for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered across India. Formerly known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), the national level engineering entrance exam was rechristened as Joint Entrance Examination (Main) in April 2013.
Generally speaking, the JEE Mains Result is used to determine rank/score of an engineering aspirant on the basis of which admission will be granted into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Every year, around 13 lakh engineering aspirants from across the country appear for the JEE Main Exam and this year this number has grown quite significantly increasing the overall competition.
