JEE Main Results 2018: The Students who are waiting for JEE Main 2018 Results can brace themselves as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of JEE Main 2018 today. The scorecards are now available on the official website of the board i.e jeemain.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The declaration of JEE Main 2018 Results will seal the fate of more than 10 lakh students. This year, the CBSE conducted the JEE Main 2018 entrance examination on April 8 (offline mode) and April 15, 16 (online mode). If the latest reports are to be believed than the board has made all the required preparations for the declaration of the results.

The results of JEE Main 2018 examination will help the students to get admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. It also makes a candidate eligible for the JEE (Advanced) and for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IIT/ISM Dhanbad.

This year, a total number of 1043739 appeared for the examination which was held in 112 cities across India and aboard at 1621 different centers. Out of 1043739 candidates, 646814 were boys and 266745 were girls and 3 transgenders. The examination was conducted under the supervision of the Chairperson, Secretary, Executive Director (JAB) and the team of other officials of CBSE. After the successful conduct of the examinations, the board has thanked the Police, State administration authorities, all heads and staff of examination centres.

The CBSE has release the official answer keys of the examination for the students before the declaration of the results. After the declaration of the results, the top 2,24,000 students who qualify in the JEE Main 2018, will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2018 examination.

Earlier, there was a report which suggested that 7-8 questions out of the 90 questions of the paper were carried from a model paper of a coaching institution by the name of Narayana Academy. However, the CBSE had later issued a statement denying the report. The first phase of the 6th edition of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 offline exam was held on April 8, 2018.
