JAC Class 10, 12 Practical Exams 2021: Jharkhand Academic Council will be conducting the Jharkhand Board class 10 and 12 practical examinations from today - April 6, 2021, onwards. The duration of the examinations was increased to 21 days by the board considering the COVID-19 pandemic instead of the usual 7 days. As per reports, it is the first time that the practical examinations are being conducted for the class 10 and 12 students in Jharkhand in a time span of 21 days.
As per the guidelines released by the board, only 15 students will be allowed in the school premises in a day. During the Jharkhand Board class 10 and 12 practical exams, special thermal screening and sanitization will be done across the school campus.
Number of students appearing
The board has released the admit card for the JAC Class 10 and 12 examinations since the theory papers are scheduled to commence from May 2021. Approximately 7.63 lakh students are scheduled to appear for the examinations out of which 4.4 lakh students will be appearing for the Jharkhand Board class 10 examinations while 33.53 lakh students will be appearing for the JAC Class 12examinations.
Exams to be conducted in two shifts
The board will be conducting the theory exams for the students of classes 10 and 12 in two shifts. The first shift has been allotted to the class 10 students while the class 12 examinations will be conducted in the second shift.
Syllabus reduction due to COVID
The Jharkhand Academic Council had earlier announced a reduction in the syllabus for the class 10 and 12 students considering the COVID-19 pandemic. The syllabus was reduced considering that the students have attended online classes throughout the year due to the lockdown imposed since March 2020.
