Ranchi: Celebrations have begun in the state of Jharkhand as the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the Jharkhand Intermediate (Arts) Results 2017. The declarations of the results have ended the long wait of students who were waiting for their Jharkhand 12 Arts results. Results for Jharkhand Board (JAC) 12th Result 2017 Science and Commerce were declared on May 30. The results are now live and available on Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) official website jac.nic.in. Candidates can also visit India's most trusted educational site Jagran Josh (http://jharkhand12.jagranjosh.com) for fast and easy access to the results.
This year, a total number of candidates who appeared for Jharkhand Class 12 board examination was almost 3, 26,107 out of which 90,871 was in Science stream, 47,622 in Commerce and Over 1, 87,610 in Arts. This year, the exams were conducted between February 19 and March 7 amidst strict security as many of the exam centres fell in Maoist-hit areas of the tribal state.

In 2016, the JAC 12th Arts Result was officially announced from the Ranchi office of the Jharkhand Board on May 28. Last year, a total number of 185407 students had appeared out of which 1,37,554 students qualified taking the overall pass percentage to 74.19%. Although better compared to other streams, the JAC 12th Arts Result took a plunge in terms of the pass percentage which stood at 81.36% in 2015.
About Jharkhand Academic Council:
Established in the year 2003, the Jharkhand Academic Council conducts yearly examination for Intermediate, Secondary, Madhyama and Madarsa from Vastaniyan to Fazil. The JAC came in the existence after the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Act, 1992, the Bihar School Examination Board Act, 1952 (adapted as Jharkhand Secondary Examination Board Act, 2000) Bihar Sanskrit Education Board Act, 1981 And Bihar Board of Madrasa Education Board Acts, 1981 were repealed.
