After the successful completion of two rounds, two rounds of MBBS counseling, the third round of counseling is scheduled to begin from August 20, 2018. The counseling at JIPMER is inducted through offline mode. JIPMER released an official notification where they specifically mentioned the date and time of the counseling for the medical courses. As per the updated seats, total 10 vacant seats are available in the UR, OBC, and SC. Total 200 candidates are expected to attend the counseling.
The registration for the counseling will commence at 8:30 AM and will be closed by 11:00 AM. The counseling for MBBS JIPMER 2018 will begin at 12:00 PM. The candidates who were called for the counseling but have not registered by 25th July 2018 will be considered as disqualified. The aspirant’s roll numbers who opted out of the second round of counseling is also mentioned on the official website. Once the aspirant gets admission in the third round of counseling, he or she should immediately join the college after the full medical checkup at the JIPMER hospital.
Before going for the counseling, students are requested to make sure that they carry all the documents properly. If there is a shortage of even a single important document, then the admission might get affected. The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research or JIPMER initially originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. JIPMER is a medical school that was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
