JKBOSE 10th Result 2016

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) finally announced the JKBOSE 10th Result 2016 for Kashmir division on Thursday i.e 12th January. After the formal announcement, the JKBOSE 10th Result 2017 was made available on the official website of the board i.e. jkbose.co.in. 

The JKBOSE 10th Class Result 2016 was officially unveiled by JKBOSE chairman Zahoor Ahmad Chatt and JKBOSE joint secretary Mukhtar Jaloo in a press meet. While declaring the board exam results, the board informed all that students had performed really well and that a total of 83.40% students had managed to as successful in the JKBOSE Result 2017. 

This year, the JKBOSE exam was held in the mid November after a significant delay due to unrest in the Kashmir valley following the killing of top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Burhan Wani. Another significant change in this year’s JKBOSE 10th Board Exam was that the board decided to introduce the ystem of grades instead of the usual marks system for the papers.

A total of 58,293 students had appeared for the Jammu and Kashmir 10th Board Exam for winter zone. Of the total number, about 30070 boys and 28223 girls appeared in the examinations. As mentioned above, the students managed to give a good performance in this year’s board exam with the success ratio going up to 83.40%. In terms of gender rivalry, boys outsmarted girls with 84.61% pass percentage. The girls could only manage to secure 81.45 pass percentage.

In terms of grade-wise performance, 3413 managed to secure A1 grade translating to 90 to 100 per cent marks; 7898 students secured A2n grade equivalent to 80-89 per cent marks and 9353 fell into B1 grade category which covers 70-79 per cent.
