The Karnataka State Education Department has been directed to emulate the steps taken by Delhi in a bid to improve upon the educational quality of the state, by CM H.D. Kumaraswamy. The department has also been entrusted with the task of presenting a report on the same. In a succession of tweets, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) publicly announce that the Kumaraswamy government has made education the top priority at a meeting with the department officials.
The CM has asked the officials to submit an all-inclusive report as to how the quality of education could be improved in the government schools across the state. “There must be no compromise,” he has said. He has also advised the officials to analyze the initiatives undertaken by the Delhi government to do the same.
“Recruitment of teachers, maintenance of school buildings and infrastructure issues were among the points discussed in the meeting,” it added. The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has welcomed the initiative. “Delhi government will be more than happy to share its experiences with the government of Karnataka,” he said.
