Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021 Postponed, New Dates to be Released Soon

Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021: The Karnataka Government has announced the postponement of the Karnataka SSLC/Class 10 final exams. The authorities decided to postpone the board exams due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The state will release the new dates for the exam after monitoring the COVID-19 situation. Earlier, the Karnataka SSLC exams were scheduled to commence from 21st June 2021.

As per the tweet of Karnataka Primary & Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, "SSLC Examination slated to begin from June 21 has been postponed in view of the surge in #COVID19 cases. Revised schedule will be decided after the second wave dies." 

The request of Postponement of Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021

Due to the pandemic, some of the schools are also facing a shortage of teachers and staff members due to the COVID-19 situation. The Management has further added that the Karnataka SSLC exam 2021 should be postponed and not cancelled. The schools urged the government to postpone the Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 to another month will allow some time for micro-planning.  

Other Postponed Exams in Karnataka 

Karnataka has recently postponed some exams due to the COVID-19 surge. Earlier, the government had postponed the second Pre University Exam (PUC) or class 12 final exams and promoted first-year students. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021, which is held for Engineering admission, was also postponed. Currently, the Karnataka schools are closed for summer vacation, which will continue till 14th June. However, the high school teachers were instructed to conduct revision classes for SSLC students. Summer vacation for high school teachers will be held till 31st May. The new academic year would commence from 15th June.

Karnataka COVID-19 Cases 

In the last 24 hours, Karnataka has reported roughly 39998 new COVID-19 cases and considering the increase in the cases, the schools urged the government to postpone the SSLC exams. The state government finally decided to postpone the Karnataka SSLC Exams 2021.
