The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 has been postponed by the Karnataka Government. According to the official notification provided on the website, the Karnataka TET 2020 examinations which were scheduled to be conducted on April 11, 2020, have now been postponed. The examinations have been postponed by the government due to the lockdown imposed by the government.c
Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar took to social media to make the announcement. He tweeted that the Karnataka TET 2020 examination which was scheduled to be conducted on April 11, 2020, has been postponed due to the lockdown. Fresh dates will be announced later.
Earlier on the announcement of preponing the Karnataka TET 2020 examinations were made. The TET exam supposed to be conducted on April 12, 2020, was preponed to April 11, 2020, which has now been postponed by the government.

The government announced a lockdown for 21 days on March 24, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the country. The majority of the state board examinations along with the national level entrance examinations have also been postponed by the respective managements due to the lockdown initiated by the government due to the Coronavirus spread. School students from class 1 to 9 and students of class 11 who were to appear for their term-end examinations this month have also been promoted to the next class by some of the board. The announcements to promote these students were made by some of the boards prior to the lockdown when the MHRD had ordered for the schools to be closed down until March 31, 2020.
The CBSE and the ICSE along with the NTA have postponed their board examinations for classes 10 and 12 along with the national level entrance examination - JEE Main 2020 April session.
For more details regarding the release of the new datasheets for the examinations will be released by the respective boards as soon as the conditions are restored back to normal in the country.
