The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced that the education system in the state of Madhya Pradesh will soon be changed to be on similar lines with the education system of South Korea. The South Korean education system is considered one of the best in the world because of which the state has decided to derive inspiration from it. According to the CM Kamal Nath, adapting the South Korean education system will help in enhancing the employment prospect of the students of the state by developing their creative skills.
The state education department officials said that the South Korean education pattern follows a concept wherein class 12 students who pass out are given employment with an attempt to develop their creativity with the help of education. In order to study this in detail, a team of experts toured the country between June 1 and 6, 2019.
The team of experts from the state visited two of the government schools in South Korea, one university and two vocational training centres in order to review their education system. The team on Monday informed the state education department head Rashmi Arun Shami regarding the education system of the country and told her about the different and innovative ways in which the students are taught.
They also added that the schools in South Korea use information technology (IT) companies for vocational training of their students and these companies conduct placements in these schools in order to hire the students who pass out. The team of experts suggested that the department must go in for structural reforms which include making action plans related to classroom teaching and take up other creative reforms in schools in the state to enhance the education system. The education department head also added that on the basis of the report submitted by the team of experts who visited South Korea the department will introduce creativity-based education policy for the state.
