Imphal: The streets of Manipur will soon beam into celebration as the Board of Secondary Education Manipur released the results of Manipur 10th Results 2017 today i.e. June 3, 2017 at 4:00 PM. Earlier, the Manipur Board official had confirmed the report that the Manipur HSLC results will be available in the first week of June. Soon after the declaration of the results, it will be available on BSEM’s official website manresults.nic.in. Last year BSEM results were announced on May 24, 2016, wherein 31749 students had appeared for HSLC examination. The overall pass percentage for BSEM HSLC Results last year was 65.37%.
According to reports, this year the board has introduced new examination and evaluation process which may culminate into decrease in total pass percentage. This year BSEM commenced the HSLC examination on March 17, 2017.
In the year 2016, a total number of 31749 had appeared for the examination (16092 boys and 15657 girls) out of which 20753 passed the examination (11053 boys and 9700 girls) taking the total pass percentage to 65.37.

About Board of Secondary Education Manipur:
Established by an Act of Manipur Legislative Assembly in 1972, the Board of Secondary Education Manipur is responsible for conducting all school activities. Besides that, the BSEM gives prescription of conditions for granting recognition of standard I and VIII was also entrusted to the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.
At present 786 high and higher secondary schools (226 Government, 103 Government aided and 457 Private) are affiliated to the Board for certification at end of secondary stage i.e. class X. The schools in the state are either managed by the government or by private bodies. Besides the conduct of examination at the end of class X, the development of curriculum and syllabus, preparation, printing and distribution of text-books for class I to X are also done by the Board.
