The MICAT I examination, which is scheduled to take place on 2nd December 2018, registrations have now begun at mica.ac.in. The examination is for admission to the PGDM (C) course the last date application submission is set as 20th November by 11:50 p.m. The course has the duration of two years and offers a student specialisation in various fields, such as marketing research, digital communication management, brand management, media management, as well as advertising management. The MICAT I exam covers over 48 cities and is conducted twice over the course of a year. The applicants are required to sit for at least one out of three examinations, which are the Common Admission Test (CAT), the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), and the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Additionally, they must apply to MICAT as well.
Coming to the exam structure, the exam is divided into three sections, each covering a specific educational niche. Section A comprises of the Psychometric Test, while Section B is composed of questions on Verbal ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking. The final section, Section C, tests the descriptive abilities of the applicant.
In order to appear for the examination, the applicant is required to be holding a bachelor’s degree (the 10 + 2 + 3 norm), or equivalent qualification in any discipline (must be recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Those who are in the final year of their respective courses (bachelor’s or equivalent) can also apply for the exam.
