Mizoram HSSLC Exam 2020 Update: As per the latest update, Mizoram 12th Board Exam 2020 will commence for the pending papers from 22nd April 2020. Media reports have confirmed that Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) has been instructed by the state government to hold pending exams between 22nd and 24th April 2020 despite the national lockdown announced by the government due to Coronavirus outbreak. The news was confirmed by Mizoram State Education Minister Lalchhandama Ralte who said that MBSE will conduct the HSSLC Exam 2020 for three remaining subjects at 84 centres across the state between 22nd and 24th April 2020 while speaking to PTI news agency.
Virtual Classes for Students
State Education Minister Lalchhandama Ralte also recounted the steps taken by Education Department to help students pursue their academic goals and continue the learning process during the lockdown announced due to COVID-19 outbreak. He said that state government has launched virtual classes on television to bring education closer to the students. The virtual classes are being telecasted to the students via Doordarshan Kendra Aizawl between 3 PM and 5 PM for 10th Class students. The classes are being help for important Science and Mathematics subject. He also said that to expand the reach, the state government has also started broadcasting these educational classes to people through local cable networks. Alternatively, students can also access these classes through YouTube Channel completely free of cost. He also added that virtual classes for 9th Class students will commence from next week.
Poster Making Competition for Primary & Middle School Students
Education Minister Ralte also elaborated on efforts made by education department to continue learning process for primary and middle class students. He said for such students, the education department is organizing a week-long poster making competition on important topics. He said that primary class students were expected to make posters on the topic of Lockdown while middle school students were asked to make posters on "Prevention from COVID-19”. He said that completion will conclude on Friday.
