NATA 2020 Entrance Exam Postponed: As per the latest update, the Council of Architecture has decided to postpone the National Aptitude Test in Architecture, or NATA. As per the details shared by the exam conducting authority i.e. CoA, the first test of NATA 2020 entrance test will now be held on 28th August 2020. As of now, the Council has not announced the revised dates for the 2nd entrance exam of NATA 2020. Earlier, the NATA 2020 first test was scheduled to be held on 1st August 2020, which now stands postponed. The decision to postpone the NATA 2020 exam has been taken by the CoA, in the light of the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 pandemic. Take Test At Home or via NATA Exam Centres
Another interesting development with regards to NATA 2020 Entrance Exam is that, the Council of Architecture has allowed candidates the option to appear for the entrance exam from their respective homes or at council-allotted NATA exam centres. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety and health of the candidates, especially amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the country.
Drawing Test to be held Online
Along with postponement of the NATA 2020 exam, the council has also notified that the exam syllabus and mode of Drawing Test of NATA has been revised. The test for Drawing, otherwise held in pen-paper mode, will now be held as a preferential choice type test which is to be answered on a computer or a laptop. The Council of Architecture has now decided to conduct both the papers of NATA in online mode.
About NATA 2020
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture i.e. NATA is held by the Council of Architecture. The entrance test is used as a screening mechanism to shortlist candidates for admission to to undergraduate Architectural courses in the country. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability related to architecture.
