
The National Test Abhyas App which was developed by the National Testing Agency and launched by the HRD Ministry has offered close to 30 lakh free online practice sessions along with mock tests within 55 days of its launch. The announcement was made by HRDMinister Ramesh Pokhriyal.
The HRD Minister in the tweet stated that the DG_NTA mobile application which was launched during the COVID-19 lockdown for the JEE Main and NEET students called National Test Abhyas has touched a milestone for delivering 30 lakh free online practice sessions in just 55 days.
The National Test Abhyas App was launched by the HRD Minister on May 20, 2020, providing free mock tests to the JEE and NEET aspirants. The app was launched since the students are unable to attend the coaching classes due to the COVID-19 lockdown to help the students to prepare for their entrance examinations. Students can attempt the mock tests for the adoration of three hours. The students can attempt the exams anytime during the day according to their convenience.
JEE Main examinations are scheduled to be conducted from September 1 to 6,2020 while the NEET 2020 examinations are scheduled to be held from September 13, 2020. The examinations were postponed due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the country.
The app within three days of the launch was downloaded by over two lakh JEE and NEET aspirants of the country and over 80,000 students appeared for the mock tests which further rose to 10 lakh after one month of its launch. The mock tests for a total of 26 papers were taken by over 17 lakh until June 21, 2020.
The National Testing Agency on June 21, 2020, announced that the app will also have questions in Hindi for those students who wish to appear for the exams in Hindi.
The National Test Abhyas app will also analyze the time spent on different sections which will help the candidates analyze the weakness and strengths and prepare for the examinations accordingly.
The app will also keep records of the total and subject-wise scores of the students along with providing immediate, real, and unbiased results to help the students track their performance and preparations. Students who wish to appear for the examinations can visit the Google Play store on Android Smartphones to download the app and prepare for the examinations.
