NEET 2019 Admit Cards for Odisha Candidates: NTA (National Testing Agency) has reissued and released the NEET 2019 Admit Cards for candidates from Odisha who missed the medical entrance exam due to Cyclone Fani. NTA, which is the exam conducting authority for NEET 2019 has made the exam admit cards available to the students online on the official website of the test i.e. ntaneet.nic.in. Earlier, NTA had issued a circular that it will be reissuing the admit cards for the candidates appearing for the NEET 2019 on May 20, 2019. However, in the light of recent developments, the admit cards have been released early and are available now online for download.
The NEET 2019 Exam date for these candidates has been rescheduled for May 20, 2019. Although NTA is yet to confirm the date for the release of Admit card for the candidates appearing for the exam on May 20, 2019, it is expected that the admit cards will be released soon, as the date of the exam is just around the corner.
Why NEET 2019 Exam has been re-scheduled for Odisha, Siliguri and Karnataka Candidates?
NEET 2019 aspirants hailing from Odisha were unable to appear for the exam due to the occurrence of Cyclone Fani. NEET 2019 examination was canceled at seven centres in the state due to the unavoidable circumstance. Around 11 lakh people were relocated to safe shelters and now as normalcy is returning to the state, NTA is making all necessary arrangements to conduct the entrance exam.
As for Karnataka, around 365 students traveling in 16591-Hampi Express to Bengaluru were unable to reach their exam centres on time. MHRD Minister Prakash Javadekar had announced the re-conduct of NEET 2019 examination for these candidates. Finally, in Siliguri, 155 candidates could not appear for the entrance exam as the centre had a shortage of question papers in Hindi. The matter was reported from the centre number: 460906, Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management, Dhukuria, P.O. New Chamta, Siliguri- 734009. The matter was later presented before NTA director by the city co-ordinators after which the announcement for re-scheduling of the examination for these candidates was announced.
