NEET 2020 Registrations: According to media reports, the National Testing Agency will ask the students appearing for the NEET examination to upload ‘live photos’ for the NEET 2020 registrations set to begin on December 2, 2019. Introducing the provision for a live photograph means that a photo will be taken during the submission of the application form.
The students while filling the NEET 2020 application forms will have to pose in front of the webcam to take a picture that will get uploaded. The process of how the photo will be uploaded or if at all the whole procedure will be added has not been made clear yet.
Getting a live photograph will make sure that the person appearing for the examination is the same as the one applying for the examination. This is ensured to curb the impersonators or identity theft issues that have happened in the recent past.
As per reports, there will also be a system in place for the candidates whose pictures do not match as they will not be allowed to appear for the examination. This will ensure that impersonators who take money from candidates to appear for the examination will not be encouraged.
If the National Testing Agency confirms the procedure then a step by step information regarding uploading the live photographs will be explained in the NEET 2020 information brochure which will be released along with the NEET 2020 application form.
The National Testing Agency on the date of the examination follows certain rules to ensure that impersonation and malpractices are avoided to the maximum. The students appearing for the examination is not allowed to carry along with them communication devices, jewellry, shoes, etc inside the examination centres.
The National Testing Agency will release the NEET 2020 application form on the official website on December 2, 2019. The examination will be conducted in the offline mode on May 3, 2020.
