JEE Main 2019: The registration for the JEE Main 2019 is scheduled to begin from September 1st, 2018. From this year, instead of CBSE, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination for all the engineering aspirants. The JEE Main 2019 registration window for the January examination will be open until September 30, 2018, at nta.ac.in. The JEE Main 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted from January 6-20, 2019. From this year, the JEE Main examination will be held two times a year from 2019 session. And hence, the JEE registration will be done twice too.
This year CBSE will not be conducting the JEE Main examination. It is a major change for the candidates as now they have to make sure that they keep a track on the official website of the NTA that is nta.ac.in. The second JEE Main exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of April 2019, for which the registrations is likely to start in the second week of February 2019.
Now, as the students used to get all the information from the CBSE JEE official website, every year they might face some difficulties initially because not everyone is aware of NTA. We advise all the students to check the NTA website and make sure that they all are aware of the examination. From 2019 onwards, the examinations will be conducted in 8 sittings, i.e. from January 6 to 20, 2019. The NTA will let the candidates choose their preferred slots and venue for the online examination. Although a few things will change there are several important points that might remain the same as before.
It has been stated on the official website that, “JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12thclass examination.”
The NTA has featured a registration and login link on the NTA JEE 2019 homepage. This link will be activated on September 1st, 2018. All the students are advised to keep the login credentials safe with them. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the national level competitive test to shortlist engineering aspirants for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered across India. Earlier it was known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
The National Testing Agency also known as NTA has been established as an autonomous and self-sustained testing body to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. This year the NTA will be conducting engineering, medical as well as management courses. JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, CMAT 2019 and UGC NET examination are some of the competitive examinations that NTA will focus on.
