Punjab 10th Result 2020: Punjab Government has decided to promote all the 10th Class students who have appeared for the Matric Board exams this year, on the basis of their pre-board exam results to the next grade looking at the prevailing COVID-19 crisis. The decision was announced by Punjab Chief Minister after a review meeting on Coronavirus pandemic situation in the state. He also announced that along with 10th Class students, the Punjab Government will also be promoting students of 5th and 8th Class to the next grade without holding any exams.

Decision Announced by Punjab Chief Minister
The decision was announced by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today evening after reviewing the prevailing situation in the state due to Coronavirus pandemic. Following the review meeting, he took to social media platform twitter to announce that “Have decided to promote students of Class V & VIII to next classes as well as to promote class X students to next class on the basis of pre-board results. For Class XII examinations, we will follow Government of India's decision.”
Punjab 12th Result 2020 as per Central Government Guidelines
Furthermore, addressing the concerns of 12th Class students who still have their exams pending, the Chief Minister added that Punjab 12th Board Exam 2020 and the following results will be announced as per the guidelines issued by the Central Government. Today, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced examination dates for the pending papers of CBSE Board Exam 2020. He announced that pending board exams for CBSE students would be held from 1st to 15th July 2020, after the situation normalizes.
Earlier in March, Punjab Government and PSEB had decided to halt the ongoing board exams for 10th and 12th Class students following the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state.
