Ratti Chhatr Programme: 30 students from over 19 IITs across India have been chosen by Panasonic India for its annual scholarship awards. The Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Programme in its 5th edition has identified 30 meritorious students for award of scholarship under the flagship scheme of Panasonic India. Under the Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Programme, meritorious undergraduate students are awarded scholarship enabling them to pursue higher education at their respective IITs. The scholarships were awarded by Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, was also the chief guest of the occasion.

At the awards ceremony of Scholarship, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant lauded Panasonic India to fuel the aspirations and dreams of young achievers. He also added that such support inspires the youth to put their best foot forward and take India in the direction of a few future. He also said that Ratti Chhatr Programme of Panasonic India promotes both education and skill-development among the youngsters thereby helping in their overall development. He also said that the scholarship will help students pursue education from top ranking institutions of the countries such as IITs.
Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Program – Key Statistics
At the event, the organisers revealed a few details about the scholarship programme and its popularity among the students. As per the statistics shared by the organizers, a total of 380 applications were received for Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Program. Of the total number, 234 applications were shortlisted for further screening via an online test. After the online test, around 160 students were called in for a face to face interview of which final 30 were selected to be awarded the scholarships.

The Ratti Chhatr Scholarship Program is the flagship Scholarship programme of Panasonic India. It is in its 5th edition currently. The company wishes to award 240 meritorious students scholarships under this programme by year 2020.
