Registrations for JEE Advanced 2017 to Begin from April 28

The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017 is scheduled to be held on May 21 by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. The registration for the same will begin on April 28 on the official website of JEE Advabced (JEEADV.ac.in).

This exam will help students in taking admissions to B.Tech programs available across 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s). The application form of JEE Advanced 2017 will be available from April 28 (10 am) to May 2 (5 pm) on the official website. (JEEADV.ac.in).

The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017 is conducted for admissions into various UG programmes in IIT's located in Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Madras, Palakkad, Patna, Ropar, Roorkee, Tirupati, IIT-BHU (Varanasi) and Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.

Paper I of JEE Advanced 2017 is going to be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm, whereas Paper II is scheduled to be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. It's mandatory for candidates to appear in both the papers. JEE Advanced 2017 is the second stage of JEE.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidates should be among the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2017.

The percentages of various categories are:

• OBC-NCL: 27 per cent

• SC: 15 per cent

• ST: 7.5 per cent

• 50.5 per cent is open for all
