Registration for Reliance Jio's JioGigaFiber - an ultra high-speed fixed line fiber broadband for homes and enterprises and 4G-enabled feature phone Jio Phone 2 will begin on August 15. Although the registrations begin tomorrow, this will not let you access its services immediately because this is merely a formality as the company has not yet declared a launch date of the service. However, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance company made it clear during the launch, almost a month ago, that the rollout of the fixed-line broadband services in cities would depend on the interest received from registrations.
How To Register for JioGigaFiber and Jio Phone 2
To register your interest, you can simply visit the company’s website jio.com or download MyJio app. You will be asked to provide details like name, mobile number, address, email account and other details. The registration is free of cost.
Data plans of JioGigaFiber
Despite being one month since the unveiling of the ultra high-speed fixed line fiber broadband service, by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the 41st annual general meeting of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the company has neither announced a launch date nor shared any details about data plans. However, some media reports claim to have accessed details of monthly data plans of JioGigaFiber which are as follows.
There will be a basic plan of Rs 500 which will reportedly offer 300GB of data per month at a download speed of 50Mbps. Apart from this, the users will have options of taking Rs 750, Rs 999, Rs 1299 and Rs 1500 plan which will reportedly offer 450 GB, 600 GB, 750 GB and 900 GB of data respectively at a download speed of 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 150 Mbps respectively. All these data plans will be prepaid plans and the company is expected to launch postpaid plans for it users soon.
JioGigaFiber Installation Fee
Reliance is not charging any installation fee for its JioGigaFiber service but users will have to give Rs 4500 as a security deposit.
