The Tamil Nadu Government has announced some changes in the examination pattern for upcoming the Class 12th State Board Examination. As per the new exam pattern as released by the authorities, the Multiple Types Questions asked in Part A of the question paper will now be replaced with fill in the blanks, assertion reasoning, match the following and other such similar question types. Questions asked in Part A of the exam all carry 1 mark each.
As per the official notification released earlier by the Tamil Nadu Government, marks per subject were reduced from 200 to 100 and the exam duration was also reduced by 30 minutes. However, when the State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT) released the model questions papers for the Class 12th State Board Examinations there was no mention of a change in the examination question pattern.
The Tamil Nadu Class 12th State Board exam is scheduled to be held from 1st March 2019 onwards. The examination is conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board of School Education. The board conducts both the Class 10th Board Examinations and Class 12th Board Examinations to evaluate students on their academic performance. The scores obtained by the students in these examinations are valid for admissions to various universities, colleges and schools across the state.
