Schools are the place of education where the students learn values, ethics and the lessons on integrity. There are certain good things about school education and the students are expected to learn these things from their teachers. The teachers are thought to ensure that the students must learn the values and the good things in their lives. It is the sole duty of the school that they take care of the fact that the students have been learning the right kind of stuff. The schools must take the responsibility to make it happen that the students get the values instilled in them. It is not expected from the school that they ever fail in performing this duty.

However, in a recent development, the schools in Tamil Nadu have come under the scanner. It has been alleged that the schools have forced the students of the school to wear caste wristbands in the schools. The matter has been taken on a serious note by the School Education Department of the state. The department has asked the officers to take note of this and identify all such schools that have done so. If the schools are found wrong then action will be initiated against them. This is not a healthy sign of the school as they are not thought to do any such act that is based on caste and creed.

The Director of School Education has taken this seriously and he has asked the officials to take strict action against the wrongdoers. There were several marks that were used by the students to mark their caste. In schools, such kind of practice is not welcomed as it puts bad impacts on the minds of the students. The officials have been already instructed to take severe action against the defaulters.
