The High Court of Telangana has postponed the Telangana State Senior Secondary Examinations. According to the high court order, the examinations to be conducted after March 22, 2020, have been postponed. The order directed the board to conduct the examinations after March 31, 2020. The examinations for the Telangana Board began on March 19, 2020. Students were allowed to attend the examinations using masks and hand sanitizers.
In case of the examinations to be conducted today, students can appear taking all the necessary precautions including carrying hand sanitizers and masks and not touching their faces and noses with dirty hands.
The Telangana board has provided guidelines for the students. The Telangana state chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has also provided instructions to all the educational institutions in the state to be closed until March 31, 2020, due to the rapidly spreading CVID-19 cases in the country.
The state of Telangana is at risk of contracting the disease as neighbouring states like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have reported cases of COVID-9 spread.
The High Court felt that the students were at risk of being exposed to the virus which is why they will now appear fresh for the examinations to be conducted for the subjects which were scheduled to be conducted from March 22 to 31, 2020.
Board Examinations Postponed for Boards Across the Country
The CBSE, ICSE boards along with several state boards including the Kerala State Board, Rajasthan Board, Punjab Board, etc have postponed thor class 10 and 12 board examinations until March 31, 2020.
Following a directive issued by the MHRD, the boards along with colleges and universities have been asked to postpone the examinations and other university or college activities until March 31, 2020, citing the spread of COVID-19 also known as coronavirus among the students. Schools have also shut classes until March 31, 2020.
Students who were appearing for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations are advised to visit the official website of the boards after March 31, 2020, to check the rescheduled dates of the examination.
