The Tata Institute of Social Sciences has begun the procedure of Personal Interview (PI) And Pre Interview Test (PIT) for all the students who have successfully cleared the TISSNET 2018 exam. The PTI and PI will be conducted at different centers for the admission in the M.A programmes, offered by TISS.
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test 2018 or TISSNET 2018 took place at 39 different cities/towns across the country. The TISSNET 2018 Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview for programmes offered at Mumbai, BALM, Chennai will be conducted at the Mumbai Campus from February 27th, 2018 to March 1st, 2018 and then from March 5th, 2018 to March 10th 2018. All the TISS 2018 programmes offered at Tuljapur, Hyderabad and Guwahati Campuses, the PIT/PI will be conducted at the respective campuses.
The candidates who have applied for programmes at more than one campus will have to travel to these places for PIT/PI. Except for the eligible candidates from the SC/ST categories, all others will bear the cost of travel, lodging, and boarding for attending the NET, as well as PIT/PI.
After the PI and PTI, a list of selected candidates will be released. All the selected candidates are expected to send scanned copies of their Paid fees challan, Acceptance letter, Scorecard, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year graduation, i.e. Bachelor's Degree mark sheet to TISA. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category should also send the Caste and Income certificates. Aspirants can mail the documents on the email ID given on the website, for confirming the provisional admission.
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was founded in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.
