TN 10th Result 2020 Declared: Finally, putting an end to the long wait, the Directorate of Govt Exams, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has formally declared the Tamil Nadu Class 10 Results 2020 for SSLC Exams. The TN SSLC Results 2020  for 10th Class Public Exams were declared today at 9:30 AM in the morning and made available to the students online via official websites. The Tamil Nadu 10th Results 2020 were declared on the basis of internal assessment policy announced by the state government, as exams were cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. TN SSLC Results 2020 - New Assessment Policy

Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown announced thereafter, the SSLC Exams 2020 which are typically held in the months of March – April, were initially delayed until June and later on completely cancelled citing concerns around the health of the students. Following the cancellation of the SSLC Exams for 10th Class students, the Directorate of Govt Exams, Tamil Nadu announced that the state government would be awarding marks to students on the basis of an alternative assessment policy. The new assessment policy will award marks to the Class 10 students on the basis of internal assessment of half yearly and quarterly examinations as well as on their attendance. TN CM Palaniswami announced for TN SSLC Results 2020, 80% marks would be given on the basis of students’ performance in half yearly and quarterly examinations; while 20% marks would be based on the attendance of the student.

TN 10th Results To be Published Online – Steps to Check

With the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the country still a major concern, the state government and DGE TN has decided to publish SSLC Results 2020 for Class 10 students online on its official websites. The online publication of results will help students access the details about their results easily, without having to step outside the safety of their homes. Students will be able to check the SSLC Result Scorecard online via website. Moreover, the Directorate is also planning to issue digital scorecards or marksheets which can be used by the students to complete the basis formalities of the application process for admission to Plus 1 Colleges in the state. Therefore, students are advised to make sure that they download the digital scorecard marksheet and save them safely on their computer for future reference.
