New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2017 is an important engineering exam for students in the state of Tamil Nadu.
Anna University conducts this exam every year for providing admissions to engineering students in the state of Tamil Nadu.
The university will start online registrations for BEBTech applications from April 30 for the coming academic year. Submission of applications will begin from May 1 and end on May 31. The university will accept regular applications till June 3.
Candidates will get the admission on the basis of their class XII percentage. The candidates who are meeting the eligibility criteria will be eligible for the undergraduate courses offered by the various engineering colleges, located in Tamil Nadu state.
TNEA Results 2017 are expected to be announced in the last week of June month or first week of July. After checking the TNEA Results online, candidates will also have the option to either opt for download of the TNEA Scorecard or take a printout of the same to use as a future reference.
After declaration of results, counselling session will be held in offline mode. All qualified applicants who have been selected will be called in for TNEA 2017 counselling. In case the applicants are not able to come, then he/she can authorize his/her parents to come on his/her behalf. Allotment of seats will be done based on the merit in ANNA university results 2017 and reservation. The applicants will get a chance to select their preferred colleges and courses during TNEA Counselling and seats will be allotted based on the preference. The applicants will be required to pay the Counselling fees. After allotment, document verification of the applicant will be done.
Seat allotment will be done based on required eligibility criteria. Under the seven categories of reservation of the state – OC, SC, BCM, BC, MBC & DNC, ST & SCA, the seats will be allotted. Verification of documents and payment of fees will have to be done to confirm the allotted seat immediately after the announcement of TNEA 2017 results.
TNEA 2017 Cut off
The minimum percentile required for TNEA admissions will be termed as the cutoff of TNEA 2017. All of the applicants will have to achieve this minimum cutoff to get admissions. Inability to meet the TNEA cutoff through ANNA University Results 2017 will result in the disqualification of the applicant from the admission procedure. Board will evaluate many factors to decide the cutoff - last year’s cutoff, number of applicants who have applied for admission, average marks and more.
