Kendiyra Vidyalaya Karnataka and Punjab

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has launched two new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Karnataka and Punjab. The new Kendriya Vidyalayas have been opened in Sadalga, Delagavi, Karnataka, and KN IIT Ropar. The two new KVs in Karnataka and Punjab have increased the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas to 1,247.

According to reports, the Kendriya Vidyalayas will start functioning for the classes 1 to 5 students at the beginning of the 2021-22 academic year. The admission to the Kendriya Vidyalayas in Karnataka and Punjab will be conducted as per the schedule prescribed for the upcoming academic sessions. 

The Union Education Minister announced the launch of the new Kendriya Vidyalayas on Twitter congratulating the students and parents adding that two new Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools will be launched in Karnataka and Punjab. He further pointed out that these two schools will take the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country to 1247.

KV Sagalagais - Civil Sector Vidyalaya will start functioning in the building provided by the State Government until the construction of the new building while KV IIT Ropar will start functioning in its own building provided by the institute. KV Sadalagais is situated in the Chikkodi Parliamentary constituency of Karnataka while IIT  Ropar is situated in the Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary Constituency of Punjab.

According to an official statement released from 20 schools in 1963, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan now has 1247 schools including the 2 Kendriya Vidyalayas abroad - Moscow, Kathmandu, and Tehran.
