The Uttarakhand Board of School Education Results 2018 or UBSE Results 2018 for Class 10 and Class 12 are tentatively likely to be announced in the last week of May 2018. The UBSE state board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 started on March 5 and concluded on March 26. According to the Board officials, the evaluation of answer sheets will complete by April 15 and the officials and teachers involved in the process will start compiling the data in order to release the UBSE Results 2018 on time.
Approximately five thousand teachers are evaluating the answers sheets at 30 centers in Uttarakhand. Students who appeared for their Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations conducted by Uttarakhand Board during March 5 to March 24, 2018 can check their Uttarakhand Board 12th result on the official website i.e. uaresults.nic.in. As per the official data, as many as 1,49,486 students registered for the Class 10 examination, whereas 1,32,371 students enrolled for the Class 12 boards examination. 1,309 examination centers were set up for the school education board in Uttarakhand. Of them, 230 centers were identified as “sensitive”. A majority of such centers are located in Nainital, Chamoli and Haridwar districts, officials said.
However, a major cause of concern for the Uttarakhand Board of School Education is the pass percentage of students, both in Class 10 and Class 12, which has not improved in the last many years. The average pass percentage of students has been hovering between 70% and 75%. The school education department struggles every year to improve the pass percentage.
To enhance these figures, the board has decided to introduce multiple choice questions for the first time this year. But its success could only be ascertained after the UBSE examination results 2018. The UK Board Class 10 and Class 12 Result 2017 was announced on 30 May, last year. The Board conducted a press conference to announce the merit and toppers list in 2017. Around 73.67 per cent of the Uttarakhand Class 10 students passed while the pass percentage for UBSE Intermediate Class 12, 2017 was 78.89 per cent.
