The average pass percentage of students has been hovering between 70 per cent and 75 per cent. The school education department struggles every year to improve the pass percentage. To enhance these figures, the board has decided to introduce multiple choice questions for the first time this year.
The Uttarakhand Board of School Education was set up in 2001 and is governed by the Government of Uttarakhand. The board is entrusted with the responsibilities of prescribing courses of instructions and textbooks and conducting examinations for secondary school students in Uttarakhand. Its headquarters is in Ramnagar.
