Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has some good news for students waiting for UP Board High School Result and UP Board Class 12 Result 2017. As per the official, the UP Board 10th Result is expected in last week of May and UP Board Intermediate Result can be announced in first week of June. The news has brought smiles to the faces of nearly 60 lakh students who are waiting for the outcome of their hard work in the form of UP Board Result 2017.
This year, the UP Board Exams were postponed due to the assembly polls. Following this, there were rumours that the UP Board Class 10 Result 2017 as well as Intermediate Results might be delayed by almost a month.
Bringing much needed respite to anxious students and their parents, the deputy secretary of UP Board, Anil Kumar, has said that "Till recent years, the evaluation work used to be completed by April first week and the result would be declared by mid-April." But, he also confirmed that UP Board plans to complete the evaluation work this year within 15 days, if everything goes according to the plan. This will ensure timely declaration of UP Board Results for both Class 10 and Class 12 students.
UP Board Exam: Cheating Cases
Another factor that had contributed to the rise of viral rumours regarding the delay in the announcement of UP Board High School Result and UP Board Class 12 Result 2017 has been the numerous cases of mass cheating across the state. So far, 1500 students have been found using unfair means at 111 examination centres in the ongoing UP Board Exams. This has forced UP Board to lodge FIR against 178 invigilators. Taking corrective measures, the UPMSP has replaced 327 centre incharges and 600 invigilators and has also cancelled 54 centres while blacklisting 57 centres in total.
With the cancellation of examination and rescheduling of exam papers at a later date, the process of answer sheet evaluation was expected to be postponed; ultimately costing very valuable time and delay the declaration of UP Board Class 10 Result 2017. But the recent comment by UP Board Deputy Secretary Mr Anil Kumar has alleviated such fears of students.
Delay in start of Annual Academic Session 2017-18
The delay in the announcement of UP Board Results has also affected the start of annual academic year 2017-18 for schools that are affiliated with the UPMSP. Generally, the new academic session starts on 1st April every year, but as the UP Board Class 12 Exams are still going on, the session has been delayed by almost a month.
