WB HS / 12th Exam 2020 Datesheet Revised: West Bengal Government notified further changes in the exam dates for the pending West Bengal 12th Class Exam 2020. As per the official announcement, the pending paper for WBCHSE Exam i.e., Uccha Madhyamik Exam will now be held on 2nd July, 6th July and 8th July 2020 instead of the previously announced dates. Earlier in May, WB Government along with West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) had notified that remaining papers would be held on 29th June as well, which now stands cancelled.
Announcement Made by Education Minister
The change in the exam dates and the revised exam datesheet were announced by the State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee. While announcing the revised exam dates, he said “in view of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the revised dates for the remaining papers for Higher Secondary Exams are now published”. Following this, he announced that the exam which was earlier scheduled for 29th June stands cancelled and instead notified the revised exam dates.
Exam Rescheduled Due to Unavailability of Local Trains
One of the prime reasons for rescheduling of the 29th June paper is that in the light of new lockdown guidelines, local trains in the state will not be available, which will make it hard for students to reach their exam centres. Taking this hardship into account, the board and state government has decided to cancel the exam in June and shifted the same in July 2020.
Currently, there are exams pending to be held for few subjects, which were postponed during the March 2020 examination due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic. Originally the exams were scheduled to be held from 12th to 27th March 2020; however, all exams after 23rd March were cancelled in line with the guidelines issued by the Central Government.
Subjects for Which Exams Are Still Pending
As per details available right now, currently WBCHSE HS Exam 2020 are pending for Physics, Nutrition, Education, Accountancy, Chemistry, Economics, Journalism & Mass Communication, Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, French and Statistics, Geography, Costing and Taxation, Home Management and Family Resource Management.
