West Bengal HS Exam 2020 Cancelled: As per the latest update, WB 12th Exam 2020 pending papers has been cancelled by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE). The decision was announced today evening by State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, who confirmed that the pending papers of WBCHSE HSE Exams 2020 are cancelled and other details about the same will be announced soon. The Pending board exams were scheduled to held on 2nd, 6th and 8th July 2020. While announcing the decision, Education Minister informed media persons that West Bengal HS Exam 2020 for Class 12 Students were cancelled keeping in mind the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state and the prevailing situation with regards to the pandemic. He also added that all stakeholders were consulted and then a consensus was built to cancel the pending board exams in the light of students’ safety and their health.

 

Results to be Based on Internal Assessment?

According to a story published by Yahoo News, the education minister also hinted that the WBCHSE will design a new evaluation policy based on internal assessment for the pending papers which are cancelled. However, he also added that the final formula in this regards is still being worked out and it will soon be communicated by the board.

Which Papers Stand Cancelled?

According to the datesheet released earlier, the WBCHSE was expected to conduct the pending board exams on 2nd, 6th and 8th July 2020. The detailed subject wise datesheet for WBCHSE Exams which are now cancelled, is given below:

Re-Exam for Unsatisfied Students

Furthermore, the report also claims that the minister also confirmed that a re-examination option will be made available for all the students who are unsatisfied with the score allotted to them on the basis of internal assessment formula. He said that “If students are dissatisfied with the council formula for awarding marks to the cancelled papers, then they will be able to appear for the test at a later date.”

WB HS Results 2020 by 31st July 2020

Taking about the timeline of WBCHSE Results, the Minister informed that the council has given itself the deadline of 31st July, by when it plans to complete the evaluation work and internal assessment process. Following this, the board will be able to declare the WB 12th results 2020 on or before 31st July 2020.
