WB 12th Results 2021

WB HS Results 2021: After protests from the unsuccessful students, the West Bengal Higher Secondary Council has announced that all the unsuccessful students of class 12 boards have been declared as passed.  Roughly 18000 students have been cleared in the class 12 exams with the board revising the evaluation criteria considering the difficulties faced by the students in the COVID-19 situation.

The West Bengal Higher Secondary Council president Mahua Das while speaking to the media stated that all the 18000 students except those students who have not enrolled for class 12 exams have been declared as passed in the WB 12th Exams.

The board president has however not specified the number of students who have not enrolled in the exams. Students have been demanding that they be declared as passes as no exams were conducted this year due to the pandemic. Out of the 8,19,202 Higher Secondary students, 97.69 percent were declared passed in the exams.

WB 12th Evaluation 2021

The West Bengal class 12 students were evaluated based on the marks obtained in the Madhyamik (Class 10) exams and the best of four subject scores in class 11 Annual exams. The assessment marks of WB class 12 practicals for the science students and projects done by Humanities students are also added to the evaluation criteria.

The board president also told the reporters that all the unsuccessful students have been declared passed after a review was conducted of their 2020 class 11 annual results in the schools and the assessment marks of the practicals/projects in class 12.

The West Bengal class 12 Results 2021 were declared on July 22, 2021, and since then the unsuccessful students have been protesting prompting the board to review their results. The students have been given revised mark sheets.

The board president has however added that the students dissatisfied with the marks will be able to sit for the exams once the situation improves provided that they formally apply for the exams.
