WB Madhyamik Result 2020 in August 2020: As per the latest update, West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2020 have been delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Media reports indicate the the WB 10th Result 2020 will be declared by the WBBSE in by August 2020 after the evaluation work is completed on official portal wbresults.nic.in. According to news report published by Times Now, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has confirmed that the Madhyamik Results 2020 have been postponed and are expected to declared only after a month’s time. The delay has been caused due to the nationwide lockdown announced to curb the COVID-19 spread.
Processing of Result Data Going On
Latest update coming from the Salt Lake office of the WBBSE has confirmed that the evaluation work for West Bengal Madhyamik Exam 2020 has been completed, but the board has not yet collected the corrected or checked answer sheets from the residences of the evaluators. Once the answer sheets are collected, the other processes regarding processing of result data and its computerization will begin. Tentative estimates indicate that the process is expected to take about a months’ time and therefore results can be expected only by by August 2020 at the earliest.
Moreover, reports also indicate that West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has hinted that priority has been given to holding of the pending Board exam for 12th Class students and therefore the result for Madhyamik Students will be announced only in August 2020.
10.15 lakh Students Awaiting Madhyamik Results
As per the data shared by West Bengal Board, a total of 10.15 lakh students from across the state have appeared for the WB 10th Class Exam 2020 which was scheduled from 18th to 27th February 2020. Of the total number of students, who have appeared for the Board exam, 5,76,009 are girls, which is 56.70 percent out of total.
