Finally, the long and arduous wait of medical aspirants waiting for WBJEEM 2016 Result has ended today. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Result for medical and dental entrance exam was declared today i.e., 25th August 2016 at 2PM. Along with the official declaration of WBJEE Medical Result, the merit list consisting names of 12,183 qualified candidates was also released today.
This year, a total of 54,889 candidates had appeared for WBJEE Medical entrance examination. Students can now check their WBJEEM Result 2016 online on the official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in. In addition to this, WBJEEM Rank Card and official WBJEE Medical Merit list can also be found on the official website.

Initial reports suggest that Aurobindo Institute of Education student Chandrachur Mondal from Salt Lake secured the top spot on the WBJEEM Merit List. The top 10 positions on the merit list were shared by 4 students from ISC board, 4 students from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and two were held by CBSE students.
Apart from this, one girl also featured in the top 10 candidates in WBJEE Medical Entrance Results. Reports also suggest that the WBJEE Counselling will being from August 28 and will continue till September 30 for all the eligible candidates.
This year, 75,862 students had registered for the WBJEE Medical exam, competing for 2550 MBBS medical seats at 17 medical and 5 dental colleges in the state of West Bengal. Of the total number 44,258 students appeared for both medical and engineering entrance examinations, whereas 31,604 had registered only for WBJEE Medical Entrance Test.
