As per the official press release by the West Bengal Board, nearly 9,84,095 students enrolled for West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha Result 2017, out of which 980355 students appeared for the exam this year. The overall pass percentage of students stood at 85.65%. Anwesa Payne topped the exam with 98.57%.

The West Bengal Class 10 Results has been announced in a press meet organized by the Board. The State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has formally released the WBBSE 2017 Results for class 10 students. Following this, the West Bengal Secondary Board has made the West Bengal Class 10 Results available online on the official websites like wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.org as well as other leading educational portals such as wb10.jagranjosh.com.
Today, nearly 11 lakh students from West Bengal received their WB Madhyamik Result 2017, who have been waiting for the outcome of their hard work since almost a month. The WBBSE officially conducted the West Bengal Class 10th Exam this year between February 22 and March 3, 2017. If all goes as per plan, then this year WBBS 10th Result 2017 will seal the fate of around 11 lakh students.
Last year, a total of 11,43,372 candidates appeared for the WBBS 10th Examination. The total pass percentage was 82.74%, which was higher than the previous year. This time boys outshined girls by scoring cumulative percentage of 86.34% against girls 79.62%. Keeping this trend in mind, the students are expected to put up a better performance in the upcoming West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha Result 2017.
